Abstract

This article is a clipping from a broader research developed during the Astronomy extension course "Diary of Heaven - Introduction to Astronomy for Basic Education Teachers". The research investigated which was the teaching knowledge mobilized by teachers of the early years during the course of the referred training course in Astronomy. For the theoretical foundation, we used the references of the area of Science Teaching, Teacher Training, as well as Astronomy Education, in addition to the Discourse Analysis of the French school. The results indicate that there is a need for training regarding Astronomy contents, since the teachers are multipurpose, with initial training in Pedagogy and related degrees, and were not contemplated with such contents in their curricular structures. On the other hand, the study shows that teachers mobilized different types of knowledge, among which we can mention disciplinary knowledge.
