Abstract

In this paper, the steps of the research carried out in the Planetarium of Londrina, which aims to investigate successes and difficulties of its group over ten years of its existence are detailed. For this purpose, the Planetarium team opinions have been heard. The collected data are analyzed under the influence of the theoretical assumptions of Bardin's content analysis. We also advance methodologically by proposing the concept of Apparent Collective Ideology. First, we propose to investigate the actions related to the teacher education in non-formal teaching space. However, the main concerns involve difficulties in maintaining the very existence of the Planetarium. The final results indicate possible suggestions in order to solve the encountered difficulties and improve the service to the community and teachers in the region. Finally, this work constitutes a call to dialogue directed to the City Hall and to the State University of Londrina about the current condition of the Planetarium of Londrina.
