Abstract

The civil calendar used today in Brazil, and almost throughout the world, is focused on information of days and months of the year that has our Western/Christian culture as a reference. Aiming to present some of the scientific, social, political, historical and even mythical aspects that thread it, bringing Astronomy as an area of knowledge capable of uniting around itself other areas that make up the Curricular cannon of Elementary Education, the Top Gregorian game as a potential didactic resource for the teaching of the Gregorian Calendar and related knowledge was developed for students in the 5th year of Elementary School. In addition to stimulating and optimizing the teaching-learning process through play, the game aroused interest in the scientific/astronomical knowledge among the participating students.
