Abstract

The purpose of this article is to establish a framework of research products, especially those developed within the scope of Professional Master's degrees, in Graduate studies programs, related to teacher training for the promotion of Astronomy Teaching for the final years of Elementary School. For this purpose, a study was developed following the methodological principles of the state-of-the-art. In the research carried out, based on studies developed between 2012 and 2021, we sought in the institutional repositories of Professional Master Programs in the areas of Education and Teaching of Science and related ones in operation in Brazil, works that contain discussions about Teacher Training for the promotion of Astronomy Teaching in the final years of the Elementary School. The data was systematized according to the nature of the products developed and their respective theoretical approaches. In general, the products propose didactic-pedagogical methods to teach Astronomy in the classroom and dialogue with Ausubel and Vygotsky theories, and with official documents on Science Teaching in Elementary School Education. At the end of analysis we noticed a shortage of productions on the subject, even though the subject shows a modest rise of the number of productions.
