Abstract

As part of broader research into the contributions of Astronomy teaching to the education of children and adolescents in the Digital Age, this article brings reference contributions about this generation immersed in a digital culture, as well as its correlation with Astronomy education, following the notes of the Brazilian new curricular standards known as Base Nacional Comum Curricular (BNCC). This document suggests the inclusion of contents and experiments with a diversity of technologies and digital solutions, which demonstrates coherence with the behavior of children and adolescents in the Digital Age. Thus, we point out that combining applications and digital tools to sessions of celestial observation, historical research on native peoples and relevant content to the understanding of humanity and its role in the Universe can be one of the possible paths for an education that contemplates the dimensions of contemporaneity and engages the technological subjects in development.
